Did you know that black lingerie was not available to the American public until 1946? Perhaps it is true too eager for men and women back in the 1920's and 1930's, but it was not until Frederick Frederick Mellinger opened Hollywood in the late 1940s that black pants are available for purchase in the United States (before, it's just clothes available in white and "naked," or beige). Can you imagine what life would be like without black bra and panties?

This month marks the 67th anniversary of Frederick introduced black trousers for the U.S. market, so, to celebrate, the brand has curated a special online store called "The Legacy Black Lingerie Collection," which features some of the most popular styles throughout the year. Stores will live from 11 April through 14 and shoppers can take 20 percent of all purchases of reach.
